Below are some frequently asked questions and concerns received from our website and phone. We cannot address all questions received, so we have taken the most frequent to share among the community. After reading our FAQ’s please take note of false advertising tactics used by other tours we have also addressed below. Then make an informed decision. If you have additional questions or concerns, please call (210) 275-9957.
Question: We’ve been on ghost tours where people jump out from behind objects and the whole tour was more like a circus attraction than a ghost tour. Does your tour do this? Answer: We do not stage or prearrange any events that may occur at any site. There are no actors, and no trickery of any kind involved with what we do or with what you may see or hear at the sites we visit. All information provided is factual and without exaggeration. Our ghost hunting tour is age approved from 0-99.
Question: Can we bring our own equipment?
Answer: If you want to bring some device used to detect ghosts, like a camera, that’s certainly okay. Keep in mind that we are first meeting ghosts in a outside public location which sometimes make EMF detectors go haywire. Honestly, in walking through this city there are many man-made energy sources. I think many EMF readings are naturally suspect. Audio recording of EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) suffers for the same reasons. There have been some, but difficult to obtain, successes. Ghosts are experienced in many other ways, for example; “cold spots” we encounter can be felt. A thermal camera in an open environment creates a lot of false positives. But photographs of other mysterious things happen on almost every Ghost Hunt! We’ll show you some of the most modern equipment used in the field of Ghost Hunting.
Question: Is there a bathroom stop on your tours?
Answer: We tell guests to try and use the restroom prior to the tour, however there is one restroom available along the tour. There is also an opportunity to purchase drinks available.
Question: Do you offer refunds if we can not make the tour after purchasing tickets?
Answer: Refunds are not issued for any “no shows” so be sure to check your schedule. Refunds are only issued during times of inclement of weather or by contacting your tour operator to receive a refund code.
Question: Do you offer private tours?
Answer: Yes. Please contact us for additional information and pricing.
Question: Do you offer group rates?
Answer: Yes we do. Groups of 7 of more should call for special discount.
Question: Can we bring food or drink on your tour?
Answer: We welcome drinks on the tour. We must ask that NO alcoholic beverages be allowed during the tour due to the cities street level open container ordinance.
Question: Do you cancel your tour in case of inclement of weather?
Answer: The safety of our customers always comes first. If there is rain and/or lightning we will cancel a tour due to the potential of sites not being accessible and dangerous (ie sidewalks can become slippery and pot holes can be misleading) due to flooding. Announcement will be made on the “On Twitter” section located at the bottom of the website no later than 7:40PM on the day of the event.
Question: What forms of payments do you accept?
Answer: We accept cash and most major credit cards on site and through our website. No personal checks are accepted.
Question: Do we need reservations?
Answer: Yes. Walk-ups are welcome however, reservations are guaranteed a slot. Everyone will have access to hear the information, and enjoy the tour. Please be sure to wear a pair of comfortable shoes and be ready for a great time!
Question: Do you work for Ghost Hunters International, what is it like?
Answer: Robert’s contract with GHI (Ghost Hunters International) was from 2008-2009. I have appeared on the show and I was a reserve member. It was a wonderful experience to work with a team of great individuals(cast and crew). Traveling the world investigating alleged haunted sites is an unforgettable experience.
Question: Are you part of Ghost Hunter’s with Jason and Grant?
Answer: Our team is affiliated with their team called T.A.P.S. http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com/ Robert was also founder of a team in San Antoniohttp://www.ghost411.com/ that has its affiliation with T.A.P.S as a family member. Robert is currently a recruiter for T.A.P.S which means he assists in screening teams of investigators to help handle the thousands of requests received yearly. He is not part of Ghost Hunters the show currently.
Question: What is the difference between Ghost Hunters and TAPS?
Answer: Good question! T.A.P.S is the name of the investigative team you seen on the show. Only part of the team including its founders, are on the show called Ghost Hunters as seen on Sy Fy Channel. T.A.P.S is headquartered in both California(West Coast) and Rhode Island.(East Coast) Members of T.A.P.S actively investigate cases apart from the show. The name Ghost Hunters refers to the shows title.
Question: Is Grant leaving Ghost Hunters? Answer: Grant is still a part of T.A.P.S however, he has chosen to work behind the camera and leave Ghost Hunters to focus on many of his personal projects. We look forward to many continued years working with him as part of T.A.P.S.
Question: How long is the tour?
Answer: The tour is approximately 90 minutes, an 1 1/2 hour in length.
Question: Do you offer a military discount?
Answer: Yes, our guides come from military backgrounds and as such, we strongly support Fire, Police, Armed Forces, and their dependent family members. We provide discounts with a valid ID. Call for further details.

Do Not Fall Prey To False Advertising Tactics By Competitors: Know The Facts Then Make, AN Informed Decision.
- We are the only tour in San Antonio to work with T.A.P.S, Ghost Hunters and its affiliates on a daily basis. No other tour has had anyone go on to work for these associations.
- We have worked and been chosen by numerous local and national media outlets to appear, interview, or work as advisers. A few names are listed in our brochure. Additional names are Paramount/DreamWorks(Paranormal Activity 1-3),Paranormal Activity 4 is currently in the works. Picture Shack Entertainment(“The Haunted” a spinoff from A Haunting), just to share a couple with you.
- We welcome video & still cameras on our tour. Your tour experience should be not be limited.
- All ghost tours claim media. We go a step further and provide you a glimpse into our years of affiliations, friendships, and associates so you know you are getting a tour with extensive experience. We welcome you to verify our work.
- One way we advertise is on various social media sites (ie Groupon, LivingSocial) to offer additional savings to customers who may not have access to our brochure when traveling. Many companies are following this new trend in advertising. In addition we donate tickets and money to various charities as an additional way to give back.
- Our tour guide Robert, was chosen personally by Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson of Ghost Hunters to work on Ghost Hunters International(GHI). As many with families and job obligations know, traveling the world in remote areas for many months at a time is not an option for everyone. Instead Robert chose stay state side and be part of the T.A.P.S Team as a recruiter for The T.A.P.S Family. Though he chose not be to a part of GHI, he works closely with all members to ensure reputation and high standards in paranormal research are met. This also allows him time to work on personal projects and help in providing you a wonderful tour experience.
- True, photos with Ghost Hunters (Jason & Grant) can be taken by attending any paid paranormal conference. The few we shared publicly were from a small trip to Rhode Island. Our personal photos from over the years are taken during dinners and other private times. Why would we share our true private moments on a professional brochure? This would not be the platform nor should anyone use a friends private lives and trust to gain your business.
- From our start we were chosen the #2 Ghost Tour in Texas by you the consumer. The #1 tour was in Galveston Texas. Galveston has the longest running tour in Texas.
We will not try to gain your business by slandering other ghost tours and its guides. Not only is this unprofessional and distasteful to our customers and our beautiful city, our time is spent focusing on providing you a memorable tour experience.
